The following instructions are for Android devices. If you use an iOS device click the button below. You'll need to be using iOS 14 or later.
A quick video demonstrating how to install custom icons on Android devices.

Written instructions are below.
1. Save your preferred icons to your phone.

2. Download the Shortcut Maker App from the Play Store.

NOTE: IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE SHORTCUT MAKER WATERMARK FROM APPEARING ON YOUR ICONS, YOU’LL NEED TO COMPLETE STEP 3 FOR ALL YOUR PREFERRED ICONS.

3. Add the Shortcut Maker app to your home screen widgets. To do this, I simply touch and hold my screen (I’m working on a Google Pixel 4a). For some screens you’ll need to pinch them in order to get your widget option to appear.

4. Tap Widgets and scroll down until you see Shortcut Maker. Open it up (A) and tap and hold to add it to your home screen (B). Your phone might work slightly differently. This will automatically open the application.

5. Tap Apps in the top left corner (A). Scroll down to the icon you’d like to change (camera in this example) and select it (B).

6. Tap Icon - tap to edit icon (A). Tap Gallery Image (B).

7. Tap Download.

8. Select your image of choice (the camera in this example).

9. Use the window to crop or widen the view of your icon. Tap the small check mark in the upper right-hand corner

10. Tap the small check mark in the upper right-hand corner

11. Tap Create shortcut (A). Your new icon image should now be on your home screen (B).
12. Tap and hold the existing icon and drag it to “Remove” it.
